On the morning of May 24, at the invitation ofPokharaUniversity, a 3-person delegation led by vice-president Liu Shengxue fromUniversity of SouthChinamade a friendly visit toPokhara University,Nepal.
Vice-chancellor Prof. Chiranjeebi Prasad Sharma accompanied with Registrar Govinda Prasas Sharma and all directly-affiliated colleges chiefs, attended the meeting and presented respectfully Hada, flowers and Nepal national cap to the delegation members in a traditional Nepal etiquette way. Both university chiefs introduced their universities basic information, features and advantages, reached a consensus concerning mutual interests in disciplinary complementation, staff visits, student further study and exchange of Chinese and Nepalese language teachers. A MOU on educational exchange and cooperation between two universities was signed up along with gifts exchanges.
PokharaUniversityis situated in the second biggest city ofPokharainNepal, and is a state-owned university with 4 directly-affiliated colleges and 58 collaborative affiliated schools or colleges. It ranks the fourth inNepalcolleges and universities and performs well in disciplines of science and engineering and medicine.
