On the first day of the new semester, the International Department greeted a "special" student from Nigeria, Miss Kenneth, who is Mr. Aigbogun Agbonyeme Kenneth's daughter. To make sure it was an ideal place for his child to study, Mr. Kenneth paid an inspecting tour to University of South China with his Chinese business partner on September 17, 2014.

After the inspection, Mr. Kenneth asked the University for an offer to his daughter. Bur for the common reason, recruitment of students from Nigeria had been suspended for a period of time.
Miss Kenneth was the first and the only one student having been recruited by the University since the ban was lifted, while her father was the first family member of the candidates who paid a vist to USC ahead of the application since the institution of higher education undertook international education in 2011.
