Despite the shortage of hands, the international department of the university has spared no effort to improve its service in the reception of overseas students into the school.
The English website of the University, along with the bilingual website of the international department, made its debut early March. On the one hand, the website serves as a showcase of the university. On the other hand, it offers the candidate students tips as to the procedures from application to arrival at USC.
In addition to its long practice of picking up the freshmen at the airport in Changsha, about a 30-minute high-speed-train ride away, it now offers the prospective student a mobile phone card, along with the admission letter sent abroad. With this SIM card, the freshman can get into contact with the staff members upon his or her entry into the country.
Both initiatives are aimed at facilitating the newcomers' understanding of the school and their trip within the territory and are well appreciated by the students and their respective parents and agents.
